What a booster pump service includes
A proper service is measurement, not a visual glance. We isolate and drain the water side of the accumulator to read the true pre-charge, reset it to the correct figure for the set pressure, clean the inlet strainer, test the non-return valves, and record cut-in and cut-out against the design set point. Each pump is run individually under load with its current measured and compared against the nameplate, and on twin sets we force a changeover to prove the standby pump actually starts and carries the duty.
- Accumulator pre-charge read on a drained water side
- Strainer cleaned, NRVs tested, leaks inspected
- Set pressures recorded against design
- Each pump run under load with current measured
- Duty/standby changeover and rotation proven
- Dry-run and low-level protection function tested
