Geberit cistern repair and flush valve replacement

A Geberit concealed cistern that will not stop running is nearly always a worn flush valve seal, a flush valve that has not reseated, or a fill valve that has passed its shut-off point. The whole mechanism lifts out through the flush plate opening, so the repair is done from the front without touching the tiling. We carry the common Geberit Sigma and Delta service kits, replace the valve rather than patching the seal, and check the overflow height so the cistern cannot run to waste again.

Fill valve replacement and slow filling

A cistern that takes minutes to refill, hammers as it fills or refuses to shut off has a fill valve problem: debris on the seat after works on the main, a perished diaphragm, or a valve fitted for the wrong supply pressure. We replace the fill valve with the correct type for the cistern and the incoming pressure, fit or clean the service isolation valve at the same time so future work is straightforward, and check for water hammer across the rest of the run.

Concealed cistern leaks

Water appearing at the base of a wall or on the floor in front of a concealed toilet is either the flush pipe connector between cistern and pan, the cistern-to-pan seal, or a failed valve overflowing internally into the pan. The first two are visible through the inspection opening. We trace which it is, replace the seal or connector, and confirm with a dye test that the leak has genuinely stopped before we close up — a leaking concealed cistern behind tiling gets expensive if it is left.

Wall hung toilet and frame repair

A wall hung pan that has started to move puts stress on the waste connection and will eventually crack the pan or leak into the wall. Movement usually comes from loose frame fixings, compressed wall bolts or a frame that was never fully anchored to the floor. We refix and re-level the frame, renew the pan bolts and gaskets, and reset the pan on new seals. Where a frame has corroded or been damaged we can replace the frame and reuse the existing pan and cistern where they are compatible.
