Common Home Booster and Scala faults
Short cycling is the most frequent complaint: the unit starts and stops repeatedly on a small draw-off because the internal vessel has lost pre-charge or a non-return valve is passing so pressure bleeds back. Dry-run lockouts happen when the incoming supply cannot keep up with the pump, which is common where the unit was fitted to an already weak main. Alarm codes and blank displays point at the controller or the sensor. Persistent noise usually means air in the pump, a failing bearing or rigid pipework transmitting vibration.
- Short cycling from lost vessel pre-charge
- Passing non-return valves bleeding pressure back
- Dry-run lockouts on a weak incoming supply
- Sensor faults giving false pressure readings
- Controller and display failures
- Bearing noise and vibration transfer
